I enjoyed my stay at the Villas of Amelia Island, particularly the spacious accommodations and beautiful beach access. However, my experience was marred by service issues during dining and some room maintenance challenges. Despite the problems, the overall atmosphere was pleasant, and I appreciated the engaging activities available.

Rooms

The villa was spacious, but I encountered multiple issues, from broken AC to a bed that almost sank. I also had to deal with an ineffective thermostat and limited electrical outlets. The maintenance team was responsive, but the initial experience was frustrating.
Service
5.0
While some staff were friendly and helpful, I faced significant issues with dining service. At the Marche Burette, service was slow and unaccommodating, which negatively impacted my meal experience. However, the staff did try to assist where they could.
Location
6.0
The location was lovely, surrounded by beautiful scenery and close to the beach, but it took a bit to get oriented within the hotel. The tram service was efficient in helping me navigate around, which was useful.
Dining
6.0
Dining experiences were hit or miss. I enjoyed my dinner at Oceanside, but other meals suffered from slow service and mix-ups with reservations. The food quality was high, but it often took too long to be served.
Facilities
6.0
The variety of amenities was impressive, including beautiful pool areas and activities for families. However, the lack of daily housekeeping posed an inconvenience for my stay. I also noted the need for more functional amenities in the room.

My stay at the Villas of Amelia Island had some highlights, but there were significant drawbacks that impacted my experience. The accommodations were spacious, but I encountered issues with cleanliness and maintenance. Dining was disappointing as well, with one meal being inedible. Overall, while the potential is there, the execution fell short on multiple fronts.

Rooms

The villa was spacious, which was nice for my family, but it was old and showed signs of wear. I had issues with electrical outlets and the TV setup, which did not have an HDMI option. Plus, I dealt with ants during my stay.
Service
5.0
While some staff members were friendly, my experience with management and the front desk was frustrating. I had to ask multiple times for a missing bed sheet, and garbage around the hotel remained unaddressed despite my complaints.
Location
5.0
The hotel had beautiful surroundings and good access to the beach, but the overall condition of the villas and the tram service left something to be desired. I spent too long just trying to get around.
Dining
5.0
Dining was disappointing, especially at Oceanside, where my meal was cold and not edible. The experience negatively affected our stay, as we were really looking forward to enjoying our meals.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities had good potential, like various activities available and nice outdoor areas, but issues with cleanliness and maintenance detracted from the experience. The condition of the pool area made it unusable during my visit, which was very disappointing.

I had a mixed experience during my stay at the Villas of Amelia Island. On one hand, the beachfront location was stunning, and the spacious layout of my villa was impressive. However, I struggled with cleanliness issues and some disappointing dining experiences that detracted from my overall enjoyment.

Rooms

The villa I stayed in offered a gorgeous ocean view and was spacious, featuring modern amenities in the kitchen and living areas. Unfortunately, I found it wasn't as clean as I would have liked, with some leftover debris in the room.
Service
8.0
The staff members were genuinely kind and helpful, which elevated my stay despite some shortcomings elsewhere. I appreciated their willingness to assist, but the service at dining venues was hit or miss.
Location
9.0
The hotel is beautifully situated right by the beach, providing easy access to stunning views and sandy shores. This aspect truly made the stay worthwhile.
Dining
5.0
Dining at the Seaside restaurant was disappointing, with poorly executed dishes. However, I highly recommend breakfast at the Sunrise Cafe, where the omelettes were a highlight of my mornings.
Facilities
6.0
The pool areas were nice, but I noticed a lack of services at the smaller pools, and the main pool often felt overcrowded.

My stay at Villas Of Amelia Island was a mixed bag. while I really loved the expansive beach and the engaging activities offered for families, the condition of the villa left much to be desired. The cleanliness was disappointing, with stains present and maintenance issues evident, especially for the price I paid. Overall, it was a great location but lacked the level of service and upkeep I expected.

Rooms

The villa was spacious, but it was in dire need of attention. I found stains on the floors and the overall room decor felt quite outdated. My family's second mattress had visible wear, making it uncomfortable to sleep on.

While the staff were friendly, I experienced frustrating delays in getting help. I had to call multiple times for transportation around the hotel and also faced long waits. That really put a damper on the convenience I was hoping for during my stay.
Location

The location is great, providing easy beach access and many activities. However, navigating the hotel to get to our villa felt more like a hassle than a vacation experience.

5.4/10

I enjoyed my stay at the Villas of Amelia Island for its space and family-friendly atmosphere, but I did encounter a few issues with the cleanliness of the room. The hotel offers fantastic beach access, which made our beach days enjoyable, yet the villas could use some intensive cleaning to enhance the overall experience.

Rooms
6.0
The room's cleanliness left much to be desired; it definitely needed a good deep cleaning, and it lacked an HDMI cord for the TV.
Service
7.0
The staff was friendly and helpful during the check-in process, but I could sense some dissatisfaction about their pay, which might affect service consistency.
Location
8.0
Access to the beach was straightforward, whether I chose to walk or take the tram, making it convenient for a day of sun and surf.
Dining
9.0
Dining options were diverse, and I enjoyed some great meals at various places, particularly the breakfast at Sunrise Cafe, which I looked forward to each morning.
Facilities
6.0
While the facilities were decent, they could improve upon cleanliness, as I noted some areas needed fresh caulking and a deeper scrub.
